Pump storage unit of Feiticeiro.

Feiticeiro is located on the Sabor river, a right tributary of the Douro, in the municipality Torre de Moncorvo.

The Feiticeiro power station started operation in 2015. It can pump water from Douro river to its own reservoir, creating the possibility to store water from the Douro on Baixo Sabor’s reservoir. Feiticeiro hydro scheme, composed by a gravity dam and a reversible power station, has a total installed capacity of 38 MW.

The concrete gravity dam is 45 meters high and 315 meters long. The reservoir has an effective storage capacity of 2 million cubic meters of water.
